Newbie here, but been lurking couple of years. I finally got some time so I hauled out my MechW3 disk and loaded up. It's been a long time since I player Mechwarrior3, and I'm doing ok except that I would like to switch from the Bushwacker to the Thor in the top of the loadout screen and forgot how to do it. I think it had something to do with moving the Thor from the right side to the left (with the Bushie on the right) so as to make it the prime mech, but I may be wrong. I can't remember how to do it, and the manual doesn't give any instructions about that far as I can see. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks...

Sorry, there's no way I can remember that far back. That's like....15+ years ago.

Yeah, I know, it's old. Amazing quality for a game that old, though. I keep an old DOS/Windows 98 machine for old games. This aggravates me that I can't remember how to designate which mech I use. The default is the Bushie and I can't move forward in the game unless I have a heavier chassy, the Bushie gets flattened. Thanks for the response!

use lbx-10's and aim for the legs. Other than that, I thing the build mechanics where pretty close to the pen & paper build mechanics.

I'll admit to some confusion myself.

Thanks, Azreal! Yeah, I am somewhat embarrassed, I usually don't post on so many forums, but man I have drawn a complete blank on remembering how to choose and designate mechs. I have this Windows 98 machine with original parts that I keep in mint condition, so all the old DOS games run really great on it. We have a hoot playing the oldies, from Wolfenstein, Serious Sam, Star Control, Wing Commander, etc. I have all the Mech Warrior games with the exception of Mech3 Pirates Moon (which I have played and beat in 2 hours) which is not one of my favorites. It's been 3 years, and I totally draw a blank on my problem. Thanks for replying. Side thought: if you've never worked through MW3 you would really enjoy it! Play on highest difficulty setting and you will have a good challenge!
