Good seafood can make up for a lot.

It really does help

The coffee is fantastic too

Starbucks started here, but the local places are where it's at

I've been playing MWO on and off

Definitely too much WoT and not enough MW4, but so it goes.

PUGs are awful, 12:2 blow outs most games.

I haven't been playing anything lately. I even let my two EvE accounts lapse after a recent patch to the launcher made my ancient machine unable to load the game. I have a couple of last year's vacations to finish paying off once the second half of my bonus gets here and then I will be in the market for a new rig. Any suggestions?

I used to build my own rigs--overclocked, cathode tubed, even played with water cooling.

But, these days the prices have dropped so much and the mid-level cards run most games well enough that I actually bought my last 2 gaming laptops--and yes, laptop since the towers aren't needed anymore and you can take the laptop on work trips *and* you can plug them into your HD TV and game on it--which I did until my TV was stolen.

Long story short--I really like MSi rigs, they're great bang/buck and decent support (not great, but not awful) so I would suggest looking at MSi gaming-grade laptops in your budget and see what hits your fancy and then HDMI to your TV

Yeah, I remember that you used to build your own rigs, that was one of the reasons I asked. I think RR used to build his own as well, but may be wrong on that.

Hypothetically, let's say I am not a laptop guy and that it isn't practical the way I have my place set up to play on my big TV, are there any desktop/tower systems you would recommend?

Cyberpower does some pretty good stuff

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8060A5 Gaming PC (Intel i5-8400 2.8GHz, 8GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, WiFi & Win 10) Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0757DVF4Z/re ... qCb3R1R089

And they use Intel chips and Nvidia cards

MSi makes some PC Towers but they tend to be higher end

For the money I think the Cyberpower is solid.

My current computer is a Cyberpower. I have generally been happy with it, other than that it has inadequate cooling fans. After a while I just opened up the case and put a small floor fan next to it to keep it from overheating. Are the newer ones better in this regard? I was looking at some of them online yesterday too, and the reviews were generally solid.

2 motorcycle accidents and your TV was stolen? You should play the lottery or something, you are due for some good luck.
