Hi all.
It's been a long time. I've really missed the game & the team. Hope everyone is well.
Hoping that this time the restart of MechWarrior is for real!
Signed on for the open beta & will try to get the old X-52 working again.

Dont bother with the X52 mate, you will be at a real disadvantage as this game is horrible with a joystick.

Aye, people have been waiting with bated breath for "better peripheral support", but based on PGI's somewhat distressing performance, I wouldn't consider holding your breath...

PGI's lead developer has publically stated that joystick players will be at a serious disadvantage in the game, so PGI is focusing almost entirely on Mouse+Keyboard support. Full joystick support is getting a very low priority, which in developer-speak means they will work on it when they don't have anything else to do.
They have a lot of other things to do.
I'm an old joystick guy myself, but I made the transition to mouse when I started playing MW:O, and now I'm really, really glad I did. It is much, much more precise, and every bit as intuitive as a joystick once you get the hang of it. Just a matter of sticking with it until you change your mindset.
