Look at the bottom there. I get that error EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to install ANY version of the MekPak. I have 4.5 gigz of free space on the HD I'm trying to install on, the same HD that harbors the temp folder, which I emptied.

WPApply sucks. I need help. And lots of it, too, from the looks of it.

There is a PR1 to MP3.02a available from here. You might try to see if that works for you. To be honest I've never come across that error before so I can't help you there.

Already tried that one.

My best guess is that WPApply doesn't go very well with SOMETHING I'm using.. The question is what.

EDIT: I can play Vengeance fine in Multiplayer, but Mercs doesn't even find any servers without me typing in the IP! (Tested with Ronin, couldn't join since I don't have the MP, though.)

Says "Zonematch Error: Not Connected".

I doubt this would stop the MP from being installed, though.

Zone match has been down alot lately. Might be that it was down when you tried to find some servers.

Either way, I can't play without the MekPak... Anybody have any ideas?

Definitely a question for the Mektek peeps. I'm with Rat in that I haven't heard of that problem before. You might want to post in the Mektek forums, but I'll see if I can contact one of them...

On a side note, if you have any third party mods installed like a HUD patch, the High Definition Patch, or a CD crack...it could interfere with the Mekpak install.

Posted in the MekTek forums, but they seem to be alil' slow on the respondin', so I whacked it up here as well, in case anyone had a clue.

It's a clean install. No other 3rd party mods. Vengeance, BK, Mercs and the IS Mech Pak, and then of course the PR1 path for Mercs. That's it.

Looking at the image again, should the path be "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Mechwarrior Mercenaries"?

Nay, I be runnin' a Norwegian copy of XP, and as such it's "Programfiler", not "Program Files".

Could have been a problem, but if the path had been wrong it wouldn't have detected the files it was going to update. Problem here is that it can't spawn some files in the temp folder, because MekTek is using a very poor patching system. (Or, atleast, I'm told that it's poor.)

Hrm. Do you know anyone else that runs Mercs on that version of XP? The next thing I might try is to install Mercs, PR1, and then the Mekpaks on another machine with the same OS. Just to try and recreate the error, to see if that Norwegian XP is the problem. Although I don't know if that's convenient.

I'll see if I can try it over at my cousin's place. Though I do believe what I need is a reinstall, ever since I upgraded some things through Windows Update there's been a whole load of things going haywire on me.
