MAULER IIC
The Clans in Battletech have updated many Inner Sphere designs using their über-tech, and this was an idea I had for an IIC Mauler.
I'm pretty happy with this. The general idea is that the laser slots are enlargened, allowing up to two large lasers, some extra missile racks are added on the arms to increase it's ability to carry missiles, and it can carry more ballistics on a "second level" above the original autocannons. Cockpit is also pushed forwards so that the missile racks won't be in the way whenever the pilot looks to the side, but on the bad side of things the head becomes a much more visible and tempting target. The tonnage is also upped from 90 to 100 tons, but the speed goes from 65 kph stock to 50 kph stock, so all in all it evens out, and doesn't create something as unbalanced as a Nova Cat on a no heat server.
