It was the usual sniper fest with the occasional moron getting in the crossfire, when suddenly me and my team noticed a Vulture and a Nova Cat at the back of our spawn point, hacking away at us from behind as we respawned, killing several of the lighter 'mechs.
We of course promptly retaliated, and through some solid effort to hold two fronts we managed to get rid of them, partially thanks to me locking on to the Vulture and then chainfiring 5 LRM20s at him in rapid succession nonstop, ruining his aim.
However, afterwards they started murring about my chainfiring being "noobish" and called me a cry baby for telling them to lay off the regen slaying. So basically, if I had alpha-striked, done one major punch of damage and then reloaded, all would have been well. But if I hadn't done that to halt them for a while so others could regroup and attack, they would have kept taking us out as we respawned. We were also a couple lads fewer than the opposition, thus making it easier for them to keep us buzy elsewhere so they could slip in a few units behind us.
What would you guys consider noobism? Spawn camping or chainfiring? Both?
On the same topic, almost, I was also called a noob for using a missile packed Vulture to pound Nova Cats using only ER Large Lasers (Which have a shorter range by 200 meters). Lasers r teh secks, missiles r teh ghey?
