I want to know how to upload stuff from gimp to a site, if that is possible. I have some images I want ot send someone, even being able to put it on outlook to email him would be nice.

You can't go straight from the GIMP (or any other image editing program for that matter) to the web, there are a couple of intermediary steps. First, you're going to want to save them in the right format. Depending on what these images are, that will most likely be either GIF or JPEG. GIFs are good for images with lots of solid color and few gradients (for example, a political map of the world, or a line drawing). JPEG is good for photos and other things that have too much variety of color and gradient for GIFs to look decent. GIMP puts up a lot of options for JPEGs, but the important one is the quality slider. I recommend not dropping it below 85, or there will some compression artifacting in the saved images. Be sure to scale the images for web viewing, as well -- a horizontal width of 800 pixels or less is generally acceptable, but it depends on the site they'll be viewed on and the purpose they'll serve as to what's ideal.
Once you've saved them, you can put them in an e-mail just like any other attachment.
