I made myself a custom wallpaper to go with the shiny new LiteStep theme I set up today. You might not think it, but rendering a hollow glass cube at full screen with anti-aliasing took 3 or 4 hours. A little post-processing in Photoshop, et voila! The clowing space cube of doom has landed on a desktop near you!

That looks amazing Thrashy. What programme do you use for it ?
ThrashDog
Built and rendered the scene in Blender, and some adjusting in Photoshop as mentioned. With all the refraction and reflection going on (all influenced by bump-mapping, just for good meansure) my computer basically chugged for hours until the thing finished rendering.

It is pretty, but that reflection has me scratching my head. tongue.gif

How so? It was raytraced in, so the appearance is physically accurate, at least.
Sandman
Oh, I have no doubt that it's accurate. But the missing sides of the reflection as well as the unusal texture it's on [ice?] makes me feel it's a bit dodgy.
