O.K.

I cannot draw a straight line without a CAD program.

I am artistically helpless without Corel Draw.

So, I would like to take the next step..
I *think* I am getting pretty good at using the Corel tools, drawing stuff like this:

and this:

So, I'd like to start doing 3-D. I have this vision in my head of
a flight of F/A 27's doing a planetary flyby, or being able to show
the players a 3-D topo map of Faldiar.

So, where do I begin? What tools shold I look for that are fairly easy to learn
that will help me make the transition?

Many thanks!
Jester

Hey jester. Im going to suggest you go here to start with. About 95% of what you need to know is there. I found them quite helpfull when i first started learning to make maps for Unreal tournament and Quake 3. Hope this helps... while your there grab as many of those VTM's as you can and save them someplace. you never know when your going to nned them again.

Hey Jester, I'm an amateur with 3D modelling in both CADD and more free-form environments. Give me an IM if you want to chat. I'd love to share.
