A long time gaming buddy of mine recently stopped over my place to pay me a visit,.....and to tell me he was done with pc games or pc anything...for good.

He went on to explain that he was tired of hardware/software conflicts, And generally tired of Windows. He does not have the time or patients to learn linux, so he informed me that he was going console. I of course thought that this was all bs, and that he was just having one of his 'stab the pc a few hundred times and it should be fine again moments' Untill of course he reaches into his gym bag he brought along, and pulls out his X45's saying
Here! take the d@mn things! I have since set them up and tested them out. for the most part they function like they are supposed to, but given his heavy handedness and anger at times, I already expected somthing to be wrong. moving the stick left is a bit stiff and jerky. It also makes a tiny squeak when doing so. Please tell me this can be fixed with a little silicon grease, and where should i apply it. im almost afraid to take these apart.
