Seems like it fires 4 times in a second. That would be 4 pts of damage. Is that correct?

IIRC it's one damage with a recharge of one second. Just mouse over it in the mechlab.

actually you nub, humans already come equipped with a corn cannon.

It must fire more than four times a second...it fires faster than a (ER) Small Pulse, and those fire four times a second. Not sure, exactly.

Damage=1
Recycle=0.05 (Unless this website is teh wrong)

1 second=Recycle*20= 0.05*20=1
Damage=Damage*Number of times fired=1*20=20
Twenty damage a second?!?!
Of course this doesn't include the time it takes for the weapon animation. If it did, the damage would be like 15 per second, or something.

and that recycle is wrong, I used one not too long ago and it couldn't have recycled that fast. Maybe .5 sec.

well, I didna add teh animation time to the recycle, which adds considerably to it.

but since I took a gander at TRM 4 it is listed as having no recycle and teh quote

iirc the rate of fire is 1 pt of damage for every .25sec. Therefore yes 1 sec = 4pts of damage.

As far as I'm aware, you're correct. Which means it only takes two seconds for it to out-perform any other laser out there. And after 5 seconds it beats the ERLL in efficiency by quite a substantial amount.

Of course, you have to factor in the wacked out heat-scale to really determine how heat-efficient it is, but damage-wise, there's no other laser that compares (as far as I can tell - I only did limited amounts of comparison, specifically the two longer-ranged counterparts, the ERLL and ISLL).

But then, I'm bitter and miss the old heatscale, so what do I know? Nothing like the havoc Kalie and I would wreak in a 2 ERLL, 2 ERLPL Ryoken.

Edit: Dur, how did I forget to compare to the pulse lasers? Righto, guess I'll do that tomorrow.

Azrael - Yeah, the problem is the recycle time is listed as zero in the mechlab. This can't be exactly correct.

That config almost makes me want to load up PR1.
