Looked over the mech variants, tried downloading one of the Thors, but couldn't figure out how to get into the 'variants' file...

please have patience with me, folks...this noob is still trying very hard.

Click the download link. Choose Save and then point it to the variants directory. Usually it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Mechwarrior Mercenaries\RESOURCE\VariantsMercs.
