i just wanna know how you have your controls set up with the mouse and keyboard.

Hmmm, no mouse+keyboard users here?

I previously used a similar mouse+keyboard setup as FPS games (ie. WASD + mouse). There's alot of available keys here compared to the 'numeric keypad' + mouse combo.

Sorry i don't have exact mappings, just a general idea why i like the WASD + mouse over 'numeric keypad' + mouse.

I use the M+K combo.

Mouse is set to torse twist at about 1/3 to 1/2 sensitivity. Left button set to fire group one, middle button not set, use scroll wheel for forward/reverse (don't set this in the mercs mouse list as it doesn't work as well), right button set for coolant flush.

Everything else is pretty much standard on the keyboard. I use the keypad for turning and zoom... Set team chat to 't', and teamspeak to '*'. 'o' to override shutdown and 'shitf + o' to turn off mission objectives. That's all I can remember atm..

im KB+Mouse, which isn't as easy as some people might think.

Mouse at half sensitivity, right click is zoom, left click is fire
I never touch the number pad, 1-0 at the top is my throttle and Backspace is my reverse

Arrows are normal, except i never use the up and down ones
J= Jump Jets
L =Light
G is coolant, the brackets([ ]) are weapons group switching, \ is chain fire, enter is next weapon.

Insert=Fire Group 1
Home=Fire Group 2
Page up=Fire Group 3
Delete=Fire Group 4
End=Fire Group 5
Page Down=Fire Group 6

Shift R=passive/active radar
Ctrl R=Map
O=Overide
S=Shutdown
A=Light Amp
M=Look Back
Z and X are my MFD's


It takes time getting used to

I only use the number pad on the right of the keyboard and its surrounding buttons...

Starting with the mouse.
I use the mouse for turning.
Left button= Weapon group one
Right button=Weapon group two
Middle button = Weapon group three
Mouse wheel up/down= To adjust throttle 5kph up or down( for creeping purposes). Great for getting my Nova right to the very top of a hill..but not over.

Now the board.

/ = Crouch
- = Forward/Reverse
9 =Torso right
8 =Full throttle
7 =Torso left
6 =Turn right
5 =Zero throttle
4 =Turn left
3 =Look right
2 =Look straight down
1 =Look left
0 =Mini map
+ =Center torso
Enter =Jump Jets
decimal =Zoom
page up =Cycle thru enemies
page down =Flush
Right Arrow =Toggle Radar passive/active
Down Arrow =Override
Up Arrow =Chain fire
Left Arrow =Suicide

I used to use the old MW2 config before I realised MW4 was far more dynamic and fast paced.

Mouse is configured with:

Fire selected weapon group - MB1
Target next enemy - MB2
Target under reticule - MB3
Accelerate/Decelerate - MBmousescroll
Switch Weapon Groups - MB5
Target Nearest enemy - MB4
Torso twist - Normal mouse movement

Keyboard is more complicated, and sometimes gives me cramps, but it has great flexibility:

0% Throttle - Numpad 7
50% Throttle - Numpad 8
100% Throttle -Numpad 9
Turn left - Numpad 4
Turn Right - Numpad 6
Center Legs to Torso - Numpad 5
Look Left - Numpad 1
Look Right - Numpad 2
Throttle Backwards - Numpad 3
Jumpjets - Numpad Del
Zoom - Numpad 0
Teamspeak - Numpad /
Flush Coolant - Numpad *
Override Shutdown - Numpad -
Passive/Active Radar - Numpad +
