Welcome to the Institute Longbow. Your wait shouldn't be long, we have crazy ass fools strong pilots for every chassis and I'm sure that they will be bringing them along shortly. Till then, check out the guides we have posted on the front page and the hilarity that can insue in the lobby.

5LL + specialty armour in hot maps.
5LXP for cold maps. Make sure to have a weapon group that is on the green (ie. inspect efficiency for that group only + current HS, by removing the other weapons except weapons on that group). 'Coz it'll be your weapon group of choice in prolonged engagements.
3PPC + LP. Kinda hard to use this one ... at least to me, but if you're good w/ lead shot weapons ... then this one is good.

Notice a trend? PPCs are pretty much the best weapon this thing holds.
You will take a beating in some of these, due to the lack of electronics (I think they all have LAMS though), but it won't always happen, a lot of the times when I'm in one, I'll be ignored in favor of a larger, stronger target. Then they get crushed by PPCs, and realize their mistake.

One more for the Awesome since I love it so.
Support L-S
2xISPPC
1xHLL
3xISML
1xcstrk6 + 1 ton ammo
Stock armor with tweaks to the back, head and arms. Speed and sinks to taste.
PPC's in the torso's since the arms tend to be a little low, remaining lasers in the arms for the ankle bitters that may wanna
tangle you up. Legging a circling flea with a side shot pricless.

Thylacine and Didymus can both attest to the destructive power of this mech.
Killed thy's six ERLL(?) sunder in a few seconds and Didymus' atlas took a lil' longer to kill. Both switched to reflective armor after I killed 'em a buncha times. Still didn't help them too much, well not Thy that much.
'Course this mech can get very hot very fast and takes a while too cool down.

Umm... no comment... other than that it sure didn't seem very destructive to me- even before I switched to reflective (had reactive before)...

Well if I actually hit you in the same spot instead of random shooting....
Um...Yeah...
Plus it was MY awesome versus your Fatlas and Thy's Sunder. Pretty respectable Kill to death ratio For a mech that sux and considering you both switched to reflective armor.
Oh and ffor switching to reflective armor during the battle
