In MP1, the gauss rifle is listed as having a speed of "2500". I assume this means 2500 meters/sec. What is the speed of a PPC and what was the previous speed of gauss?

Oh, and what is the airspeed of an unladen swallow?

*checks downloaded weapons data in excel*

Nope not in here.

Hmmm, i think only the Devs (ie. MT and MS) has access to this one.

But it would be nice to know this info. smile.gif

I don't know the specific previous Gauss speed, but it used to be slower. Doesn't seem identical, but PPC and Gauss fired together have a better chance of hitting the same thing than before. May be a change made to reduce the predominance of ERLL by providing a viable alternative, but that's just a guess.

Whatever happened I'm not having to re-learn my gauss rifle lead times now that I'm back playing again. I used to be a decent shot with the old gauss, but not anymore!

Actually, it was to reduce NDB. Apparently faster-moving weps suffer less from NDB. As a side-effect, it threw off lead times.

The European is approximatley 11 meters per second, or 24 miles per hour.
