I just got the latest Detonator driver for my old GeF3 card, you can get yours here:

v43.45

Remember, for best resutls, DISABLE any AV software, and Uninstall any Old drivers BEFORE installing the new ones.
(just read the readme and/or instructions wink.gif )

My question is, in some of the Radeon9700 Vs GeFX benchmarks, the reviewers complained that the
nVidia drivers weren't maximizing the card's abilities, any idea if these new ones will push the FX past the 97/9800?

EDIT:

lol, just found this review: http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/det...3.45/page12.asp

Seems the new drivers don't help much of anything... rolleyes.gif

Well Nvidia where after all optomising thier drivers to give good benchmark scores.

heh

oh well back to reality for them

This is all a bit disappointing. Used to be that the drivers that nVidia put out were absolutely outstanding and took every advantage of what a GeForce card was capable. It seems that since the G4's were released, this is no longer the case, and the drivers over the last year or so have been nothing more than mediocre.

Too bad really!

last couple driver releases have been causing some artifacts in MW4 after playtime with a hard-lock to follow. Didn't start till the last driver update I made. Just updated again last night, hope the new one fixes it, or that my gf3 is dying smile.gif

Hrrm, I had some texture issues with my g4200 and anti-aliasing with MW4, too bad too because other than the fact that the mech textures would skip around unless you were right on top the mech everything looked super sweet. =T

Wonder if these will fix that...

CC,

I had similar issues with my GeF3 Ti200 and the last set of drivers,
but though the new 43.45 didn't benchmark as well as the previous one, the oddities I saw in-game are gone.

But the next card i get is definitely looking like an ATI product...nVidia looks to be toppled...
