Is there a program to examine your mech configs in the window enviornment?
I have downloaded some configs, and put them in the variantmech folder, and then it crashes.
I thought it would be nice to view and or print out configs too.
If it can tell if it is for Veng, BK, or Mercs with or without clan or is pack.
Can it be done? Has it been done?
And maybe even creating and or editing configs out of the MW4 enviornment. ohmy.gif
Am I wishing for too much? I hope not.
(maybe some one will create one just in time for MW5 to come out. lol) laugh.gif

I've thought about this before, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

There used to be one for Vengeance, but when BK came around it never got updated. So, now it's 2.2 games behind. wink.gif

Cool. I wish I could be a programer but, I don't have the patience.
I thought it would be a great little proggy. Everytime I want to create a config, I have to go through the standard wait time to get to mech lab, then edit one, or two, then exit. If I need to do other window progs, I have to wait until I'm done.
That -ALT-ENTER- thing helps a little, but you just don't get the full screen. unsure.gif
I hope someone has the time and resourses to be able to meet this challenge.
I found some for veng. They looked OK. You couldn't edit your created configs.
I don't know how hard that would be to find out the diff between a PPC and a AC.
It's all about hex. FF=255 (that's about the extent of my hex knowledge).
Thanks for looking. If someone needs a BETA tester, I am glad to assist. goodjob.gif

I have the time and the resources, but my programming abilities are lacking as of late :/

Ahh why not....I'll start doing some research on this.

I think the best place to start would be something like this:

In MW4:

Create a variant for, say, a Wolfhound. Put nothing on it but a single medium laser in the CT.

Create a variant for, say, an Atlas. Put nothing on it but a single medium laser in the CT.

Out of MW4:

Search those two variant files for similarities.... i.e. the medium laser.
