No Guts No Glory

Anyway...seeing as how I rarely* see a Templar during multiplayer, I was wondering what people generally put on it.
*always
Heres the only REAL Templar:
2 CLBX20
2 CLBX10
2 HML
Min speed
maxish armor
rest of tonnage to heatsinks
Used this variant against Black Ceasar's Sniping Victor in a 1vs1 on tumbleweed and tore him a new one quite a few times.
And my other one:
2 ERPPC
2 ERLL
2 LGR
JJ's
Min speed
heatsinks and armor to round it all out.
Anyways...what do you guys use on your templar?

Same as your first one, except no heat sinks and 74 kph. If you find it too hot, you can drop one of the hmdl's for an inner sphere medium laser. Another good one removes one clbx10 for jj and a streak 6.

Nailgunn
2 CLBX20+1
1 CLBX10
1 ERLPL
speed is average
JJ
if any of you fight against AC Nailgunn, this is what is on his Templar, I've been hit so many times by this mech, I have the bloody config imprinted on my forehead
Reload
2 RAC5+1
2 LXP
stock everything except armor
this is sorta my fast, knock around mech, I'm not to good with a templar, so I use my weapons to keep em from firing (hopefully

)

I usually go with 4 cuac10s in a destruction game. But Templars die too easy through the side torsos, so i usually dont use it. Unless theres an 85 ton limit.

Ah, the Templar. Truly the coolest mech in the game.
You guys have already posted variants similar to some of mine, but there is at least one more:
The Anti-Sniper Sniper (even before Xi wrote the guide)
+ 4 Light Gauss (providing a 48 point alpha at 1200 meters)
+ Tweaked armor (12.5 tons)
You pay the price of the longe-range firepower in speed and maneuverability (no jj) but the mech can be effective if you keep the range up and your head down. No ECM, but it's not a factor if you are 1000 meters away. I like to find a pop-tart, sit at around 950m, and peg him between the lights when the reticule goes red. The LGs are grouped to fire two and two, and you can put a lot of shells into someone (and generate steady knock) as they try to close.
This mech also works as a hill-hump sniper, but the low firing position of the arm LGs make it a challenge.
So learn to stand sideways, proudly, and pilot the MW4 Mercs poster Mech, the Templar!
