MT.... when you save it for the web, you need to check and make sure it's not set to a white background default. I'm not sure what other programs call it, but in Photoshop it's called the matting. You want to choose a color that is as close to the background as the forum or web space you're gonna put it on. If that happens to actually be white, then you're good to go.
