This is a useful weapon that so often goes unused.

A longbow or vulture armed only with flares makes for a avery viable combat mech.

The sheer blinding light you send your enemy's (and ally's) way is sure to have them begging for mercy.

Ravens w/ flares and some lasers are pretty annoying. Pretty good in low visibility environment, no radar/team radar is a plus.

I have decided that anything that goes less than 80 kph cannot be a good flare mech. People just get this silly notion that you're an easy target below that.

Strider.

The flare mech that is the most fun is a strider with at least 3 flares no more than 4. Rest is regular weapons.

Setup the flares in one group on the main trigger and chain them. You get an almost continuous stream of flares pouring from your mech. Almost as good as a rotory auto flare cannon. Plus you have speed to try and stay behind targets.

Hmmm, i don't have any kills yet from Flares and Tracers ... but i did get a kill the other day via ramming, too sad i was trying to lead "a suicide".

I thought the players were laughing because i did a smart thing w/o any weapons left. There were no standing mechs after that Harakiri. I just realized what really happened after i found out the sequence of events
