Full Version: At Wits End (Can't Join BS)

Before you jump to syaing check pinned topic at the top concerning routers (I have no router). I currently connect with a Broadband Blaster USB modem.

The problem is I cannot join selected game there may be networking problems or the serve rmay be gone BS. The problem is that this is someimtes occurs other times it is just fine. Last night, for instance, it worked just fine (infact a little too good even had great pingtimes) today I get the damn error. Tonight it may work just fine....Any Ideas?

So far I have...

rebooted, to no avial.
Made sure that the XP Firewall is dead,
Ran dxdiag, everything checks out even ran through direct paly and sound test with flying colors,
Reset modem..no luck
Reinstalled game..(two weeks ago) and the problem is just as intermittent as ever....
Tried to update drivers for modem, but none availiable...

Small woodland animal sacrafice to the gods of MS, making sure to light the green candles around Bill Gates pic while facing Seattle, during a full moon over a freshly burning motherboard....no avial.... tantrum.gif

I had simalar problems.
I have xDsl.
I thought I Killed all Firewalls, but I missed the one from the computer to my external modem.

Have you contacted Microsoft?
They have some info regarding this very issue.

I am not familiar with that usb modem, but I would switch to a NIC controlled modem if you can.
(My Terayon modem has both ports.)
