How did you get that effect on the lettering?

I'm gonna find a tutorial on Brushed metal 'cuz I don't like having to explain things, but as for making it aluminum, I think I may know.

Only difference is that the motion blur was made at a 90 degree angle.

Then, I think maybe another layer of the text in white, which was set to Lighten? Dunno, just guessing here....I wanna know how you made it that aluminum color...it's cool

Ok, I'm going to come clean on this, since you guys have been patient enough to wait while I have been begging Death to just go ahead and take me (translation: I've been dreadfully ill the past few days).

Gnosis, you're about there. I could, in fact, achieve the look I wanted by adjusting the motion blur to 90 degrees on that. But the truth is.......

If you use photoshop, go to the Adobe Studio Exchange. Create an account. From there you can download styles, plug-ins and actions (plus loads more) created by photoshop users and posted for anyone to download and use. Or create and post your own. The one I used for this sig was the T-3 titanium styles, adjusted to what I wanted. These things are a real time saver.

Not only that, but a lot of the styles you get to see everything that was done. Turns out that they've been more educational than any tutorial I've found.
