Full Version: Web Hosting
Hi all I had a site at angelfire *what can I say it was free* but that died. Some trumped up vialation thing of some contract. I guess hosting my sigs is a viloation of their code. So I would realy like a link if somone has one to a free web site hosting. Not looking for anything fancy maybe a front page for display and to be able to upload my pics from my pc onto the net. So in a nut shell Im looking for a good free poor boys site. Other than angel fire of cource.

There is a fantastic free hosting deal over at 1 and 1 hosting right now...lasts another two weeks or so. Three years of free hosting with a considerable amount of space and bandwidth. It's a promotional deal, but it's been arouns for a few months and seems to be legit. Lots of discussion about it over on the Anandtech forums here:

I set up a site there for my daughter to mess with--pretty straightforward, with lots of tools to help newbs, and lots of room to play if you are more than a noob at the website game. Limit one per househould, though. I cannot find the catch, though I have looked. They don't ask for a credit card, adn they don't make you agree to pay them down the line or something silly like that. Certainly a better deal than Angelfire.

Oh and I've had a site on FreeServers for the better part of a year and I only use it for hosting images. Hasn't been shut down, yet.

just cause I'm curious KoS, but where do you get all those neat little Dark Age, Medevil (can't spell) backgrounds?
Some I find on google after countless hours others I simply make. Also if it calls for it I scan them into my pc I have alot of books =P.
