After months of wandering around the battlefield as a fat assault saddled with as many weapons as i could carry, I was left feeling empty. What to do? Poptarting?!? Where's the fun in that?

But thanks to the Banzai Institute and some helpful forum posts, I decided to try light mechs. Well im a new pilot. My scores suck horribly but im much more annoying to the other team now (I hope). Driving a light mech is somewhat addicting. You're gonna die in 1 or 2 solid alphas anyway so why not charge right into a group of 4-5 assault mechs? Maybe you even cause some other team friendly fire as you slalom thru their ranks. Plus it doesnt take you long to run back to the battle. So dont be afraid. Plink away at those titan's armor. Its a blast.

When do you start beating the assault mechs with light mechs? I mean other than scorching thier shins as your light mech explodes close to them?

Question for light brigade members: What part of the enemy mech do u aim for? I used to always aim CT but now im finding more success taking out 1 leg in servers where its allowed.

me? i aim anywhere that's blinking. if nothing is, i keep firing until something IS blinking, then go from there.

usually i go for the CT, but if it's a 100 tonner, test the legs out first, then decide from there.
