Well Ill start of by saying this,

I installed the patch and it works fine. I had to do a clean install tho to do it meaning i had to reinstall pretty much everything. No prob there. Pak looks grreat and mechs look sweet and all.

Heres the prob. I go to a multiplayer game and connect. I make it into the gme and can go into the mech lab and stuff and do pretty much anything. Now when i actually click launch or check in, it boots me to my desktop and asks for cd 2. Ill have cd 2 already in and it still does it. I dont get it. Ive never seen this happen. Any thoughts or ideas? Its only in the multiplayer when this happens. I dont have any hud paks or no-cd things goin on at all. Its a complete clean full install. However one thing i did do was copy all my configs back into the game. But in single player it works just fine or in "instant action" or the mechlab i have no problems. Its just connecting to to the multiplayer and clicking launch in the multiplayer that causes it.

Any ideas? Am i missing something, did i forget something, anyone else go through this?

That's normally a map issue.... meaning a terrain file is missing, or perhaps corrupted.

Yes the insert CD 2 is usually a terrain prob. Are the servers running stock merc maps?

If you download and run the terrain patching utils from Mektek that might work if it's one of the Veng/BK map pack maps. Otherwise, if it's one of the stock maps then you may need to repair your existing install.
