When I ran dial up I really never had any problems with ICQ, it always fired up on connecting, but it had been on there so long that when I switched over to cable I cannot get ICQ to fire up when the computer comes on and the connection is live. I have tried moving a shortcut into the startup menu and it hasn't seemed to work or it may not have 'taken'.
Anyone have an idea on what to check or set?

1.) Which version of ICQ is it?
2.) In the preferences tab, there is a seperate tab for firewall set up. On said tab there is a but for automatically setting up the firewall.
3.) Which ISP are you using and what kind of connection is it?

I'll have to take a look at the version, I can't remember it.
The connection is a standard 128k cable connection using insight broadband with a Motorola surfboard modem.
I'll have to check the tab.
