Save it as a jpeg or giff. Psp's won't work that way.

Now that I can actually see it...

Looks pretty good. Howver, I'd add some effects to the top text, maybe have it blend in to the background with a Color Dodge or Lighten mix. The lower text is a bit blah. And the overhangs by the toes and arms of the highlanders WOULD look good with a transparent GIF, but jpeg doesn't support transparency. tradeoff is GIFs tend to be bigger and badly dithered.

A worthy start at least, tweak it a bit and you're good to go!!

on the branch, or cracks (whatever that is), merge it with the BG layer, then take the Color Dodge tool (assuming you're using Photoshop, otherwise, don't listen to me ), and change it to Highlights, with the Exposure on 100. Take a maybe, size 19 Brush, and then trace the cracks with the brush. That'll make the cracks stand out a bit better. If those are branches, then this probably isn't something you want

Is the branch a seperate layer? If so add something to the layer effects like a drop shadow or a highlight, or even a 1 pixel stroke to it. Make the BG layer (the white one) transparent, and export as a gif.

does psp allow saving a .psd file? I'd like to try something on it.

which psp? I have paint shop pro (found it bundled with my comp that I've owned for a year)

psp=paint shop pro. What I can't remember is if it can save a .psd file (photoshop)

LOL I have ver. 8 of PSP myself

It was a serious buggy pain in the ass until the patch came out, there are a TON of fixes in it, and it runs pretty dammed good now

...and the last few versions of PSP have been able to save and open PSD files without any problems at all.

I have PSP 7 and all of a sudden it decided to stop allowing me to open PSDs....it worked one day, then the next it just died and stopped
