So, what's its saving grace???
IT CAN PACK A BUTTLOAD OF ORDINANCE!!
It has 2 3-slot omni-racks, a 2-slot and a 3-slot e-weapon rack each, a 3-slot missle rack, a single ballistic, AND a 4-slot ballistic rack.
Ahh, the possibilities...
Here are several configs I've come up with, feel free to comment, and post your Haupie's as well..
And yes, I DO crosstech.....
Blackjack brawler
2 CLBX20's(arms), 1 CLBX10 / 1 CUAC10 +1t ammo (shoulder rack), 5 med. lasers.
This is a standard brawler on close terrain maps for me. Consistently floors, if not outright kills, any mech 70 tons or lighter. Will core any mech, and rapid weapons cycling for the lasers and 10's ensure quick finishing of the job, while the 20's reload.
Piledriver II
Adv Gyro, 6hs, 46kph, 15t. FF armor.
3 CGauss, 1ER ppc, 1 ERL laser.
Delivers a 73+ pt alpha @ 800m.
Piledriver IIA
Adv gyro, 5 hs, 58kph, 15t. FF armor
3 CGauss, 2 ERL lasers
Delivers a 66 pt alpha @ 800m.
In both this and the II, the gyro can be dropped and tonnage added to the preferences of the pilot. (i.e. armor, hs, speed)
Piledriver IIB
5 hs, 58kph, 15t. FF armor.
1HGauss, 1 ERL laser, 1 ER ppc, 2 CGauss..
Delivers a 82+ pt. alpha at 600m, 55+ at 800m.
Have had brutal success with this particular chassis in Factory, and other maps... guts and cores any mech with regularity..
I have others, but wanna save'em...
Lets see what's out there
