just fired up the new system a bit ago and gots a problem.
It's a custom but one i had built so I ordered it without a monitor - wanted to use my old one. Now I gots a problem - I'm getting no signal to the monitor, not even basic display so I can install the montiors drivers and I'm drawing a blank.
I thought I would at least get some basic display capability and then be able to just load the new drivers but it definately seems like no signal is going. I even tried the second monitor port but nothing. I also tried safe mode but I get not signal at all it appears.
Anyone got some insight?
New card is an EVGA 768 8800 GTX.
Monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 915N LCD, it does have an old style (VGA) blue plug but I used the adapter supplied in the goodies bag.

See? Fixin' stuff is just a matter of POSTING on Banzai. WE don't even have to respond..

Glad it got sorted out, Az. That kind of issue can be maddening.

thx, yea I should have checked it better. I checked for a wiggle but didn't see the corner was out. Same was on the sound card. running fine now.
Now I just have to get the dual drives working like I want.
Have a gaming drive as a main and then a large secondary - on which I wanted to keep photos and iTunes and such. Problem now is, even with iTunes on the secondary drive it wants to store on the main - so I gots to get that sorted out.
I did get quake downloaded in about 15min so not bad there. I just have to get the system configed a bit better before I spend time with it.
