Just throwing this out there - anyone willing to throw together a new logo for the forums? Ideally one without the date on it, so unfortunate situations like the current don't happen, lol.

Can't guarantee that if you produce something, it'll be up there, as (with a bit of luck and some extreme optimism) we'll have several to choose from, and there only be one spot.

Anyways, the only limitation is that it should be 465*150 pixels in size, and on the background included in the attached file. JPG format preferred, low compression to avoid uglyness. Something to do with Mechs would be nice, too.

Not sure whether I like the logo being there. Don't even know if I like the Dragon shooting through the text. I like the Dragon though!

I like the last two too, but I think the second line of text should be shifted or scaled down so it doesn't overlap the logo.

"Warfare" sort of becomes unreadable in the first two. That font apparently don't scale well.

Well, of the new batch, I do prefer the 'fine print' of the last, but maybe put that font on the middle one. (I'm not really a fan of the shell 'tearing through the letters')


But another question comes to mind: does the Dragon fit best, or would the a more quintessential 'Banzai' chassis?

Dragon indeed. I found my all my old screenshots, but the only good looking shots I have are the Dragon, the Loki, and the Ryoken. Although I certainly wouldn't complain about the Ryoken, the Dragon is a much cooler looking 'mech. Plus, I think I might be the only one who does like the Ryo.

I guess I just forgot to post this one in the last batch.

Hey Empath some of the people that still hang around are/were pretty fond of the Dragon. Difficult to drive because of the paper thin armor and vulnerable arm but it rewarded the sneaky (Gnosis, Gwyd, and Sandy) pilot.

Dragons rock.

I used to like the Dragon. With a Gauss & Large Laser or two for annoying people with.
100kph+ and decent firepower IIRC.

And though I'm a) not actually a TB member, and 2) didn't muck about much with the larger chassis online, I do still have a fondness for the PnP game's DRG-1N; 60t yet fast for its weight, decent loadout of fairly long-range weaps and it's one weakness was a thin skin - a heavy skirmisher if I ever saw one.

Of the options Gnosis has on hand, the Dragon is definitely the best; I can't explain it, but I was never that big a fan of the Hellbringer, and though I like the Stormcrow, there was one flaw in the model that MW4 had - the 'upper arms' for the 'Mech were literally *two-dimensional.*

I was going to offer to fire up Mercs and snap screenies of any other chassis people had a hankering for (stock ones - a few days after my HD replacement, I got the hankering to revisit the career of Spectre again, but it's been languishing since I got into the arena; why do anything, if 'Duncan Fisher' isn't there to commentate on it? )

Seems we got the Banzai 'Mech for the job - as much as the Atlas *IS* the mascot of BattleTech, that banner just is a little too complex for the purpose - it'd take longer to 'get' all the intricacies than most people would spend looking at it.

And as for the 'descriptive' pic - maybe slap the Banzai shield over the middle of the "TEAM WINS" column and have a caption at the bottom: "...but still cooler than you."

Yeah, lose the Dragon Gnosis. Put some Cauldron Born screenies on that and it'll be a winner.

Or a Mad Cat. Mad Cats are good too.

everyone knows that by far the best and most honourable mech is a madcat mk2 or black knight with 6 erll or 4 erppc, should use one of those!

Ryoken with 2x ERLPL, 2x ERLL, and jumpjets was *so* the best jump-sniping mech.

pfft, jump snipers.

Raven, 2 arty beacon, 1 clan flamer, 1 small laser is the nastiest mech in the game.

Or "The Angry pencil" when the pilot is in a Bad Mood.
