Hi all,

In an attempt to get connected more quickly, I am going to beg for some expertise.

So I am running on the same computer that I used to, with the same Linksys router.

The "only" differences are a new internet provider and the introduction of 2 Linksys WAP54Gs. I use one hooked to my router and the second WAP54G as a repeater as the first one can't penetrate all the way to the basement where my rig is.

So I cannot seem to get on Zonematch, or to connect to any server using an IP address. But I can Ping the server.

So I know something is blocking, and it is probably on the WAPs, but I don't really know where to start.

Ideas, anyone?

It could also be that I am missing a critical file in all of the reinstalling and patching. I am not sure I understand all of the implications of the new game servers and how to access them - so any guidance there would be a big help as well.

MekTek has a new utility called Server Seeker or MekMatch or something that you may need. The Zonematch function is being redirected to a new server where most of the games out there are now displayed. Check out the MekTek download section or ask for a link on their forums, I don't have one handy (sorry).

Just wanted to say I made it online. Things seem to be much quieter that they used to be. There were plenty of open slots on servers most of the time. I also noticed that there seems to be a higher proportion of NHUA servers.

Yeah, don;t make the mistake of wandering into a NHUA server with a nonNHUA config like I did the other night! I'd kill like two people, and then get vaporized by one alpha from somone and I was like WHAT WAS THAT!? Heh, then I noticed I had the same number of AC rounds that I had dropped with.
