i posted one in the regular forums about this (please forgive, but i suspect i need as wide an experience base as possible to find an answer).

i cannot connect to a game, even with mekteks pretty new page showing all the same stats that their webpage does. i still get the cannot connect window / server error even when i shut down the firewall.

my online connection is wireless... and i connect at truck stops (well, i am a truck driver now... thats a whole other story, please dont ask i have a headache...). anyway, i have zero control over the connect point's settings, so instructions on forwarding ports is less than useless to me (i have already heard/read them several times and so far they all expect me to have control of the broadcast point... all of which is contributing to the migraine i am currently enduring). i need a way to passthru the connect point already set to what i need. anyone got any brilliant ideas? i am on xp pro, if that helps.

MekTek recently (within the last 7-10 days I think) moved the MekMatch server to a new host. Somewhere at MekTek (I can't look now, I'm at work) they have a link to a file which will edit your registry so it looks in the right place. You say you have the new MekTek stuff, but maybe you don't have the "new" stuff. Just a thought. If this isn't it, I can't help you, I'm a technical Neanderthal.
